On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Denbigh High School JROTC program demonstrated pride, discipline, and service during the school’s graduation ceremony at the Hampton Coliseum. Their involvement contributed significantly to the formal tone and smooth execution of this milestone event.
The ceremony began with a powerful moment of tradition and respect as the Denbigh JROTC Color Guard presented the colors. Marching with precision and confidence, the cadets exemplified the professionalism and pride instilled through their training. Their flawless execution of this honored tradition set a reverent tone and reminded attendees of the ceremony’s significance.

In addition to the Color Guard, JROTC cadets served as event ushers, providing courteous assistance to families, faculty, and distinguished guests. With calm and capable leadership, they helped guide seating, answered questions, and maintained order throughout the venue—ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and respected.
The cadets’ presence at commencement was a visible reflection of the values at the heart of JROTC: leadership, responsibility, and service to others. Their role not only supported the event’s success but also inspired fellow students and community members with their maturity and commitment.
Denbigh High School is proud of its JROTC program and grateful for the cadets who helped make the 2025 commencement ceremony a memorable and meaningful experience for all. Their service was a fitting tribute to both the graduates and the values that unite the Denbigh family.
