What do you do in JROTC? It is a common question with an uncommon answer. Our Cadets always say, “It’s fun”. As a primer to start the year we met to review the Commander’s vision and the annual calendar. After lunch, we did team building. Our district has access to a High Ropes course that we reserved for our surprise team building exercise. “Cadets, today you will see and conquer FEAR” the instructor of the course said during his safety briefing. The day was a fantastic start to an exciting year. As the last cadet left he said, “Thank you for giving me another awesome experience!” What did I do in JROTC this week….Jumped from a 30 ft. platform to a trapeze bar to overcome my fear of heights!”
